When the daughter of a retired cop returns home to find a neighbor murdered, she takes on the investigation herself, with a little help from her new cat.

"A laugh-out-loud humorous cozy mystery with a charming detective and a page-turning 'whodunit' that'll keep you guessing right to the end!"

FIRST IN A NEW SERIES! Gift shop owner Stormy Day is settling into her new life until she comes across a frozen body, hidden inside a well-dressed snowman.

When her own father, a newly retired cop, is implicated in the murder, Stormy must chase down clues and uncover the town's secrets herself.

As she draws closer to identifying the killer, Stormy's own life may be in danger. That is unless Jeffrey, the mischievous Russian Blue cat who led her to the icy body in the first place, can flick his sleek gray tail at the final piece in the puzzle.

Good book to read... No swearing, etc... which I feel ruins many otherwise great mysteries.

This is a quirky mystery with just the right amount of romance and mayhem! No dirty language to worry about, either! Fully entertaining.

Loved the humor in this book. The main character cracked me up. The cat's "thoughts" and actions are perfect haha - Ms. Pepper obviously knows her cats. I'll be sure to read the rest of the series. Light, fun reading and a good break from the many deeply serious books I've been reading lately. Only one minor thing - please check the typos/grammar errors. Not many but it can take away from the book a bit. Oh and thanks now I'm craving mini cupcakes lol
